We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. All offices are closed from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for lunch.

Rebecca Williams, Administrative Specialist I, is the current employee of the quarter. This recognition was determined by nominations and votes of confidence from her co-workers. During the fourth quarter staff meeting Rebecca was recognized for her dedicated service. Thank you, Rebecca Williams, for everything you do for the health department and for your coworkers! Same Day
Scheduling
The Pike County Health Department utilizes "same day scheduling." This means you will call or walk-in the day you need an appointment and make arrangements for that day. No longer do you have to remember to call ahead and set up an appointment and then remember to keep that appointment. If you call before 9 AM you are almost guaranteed to be seen on that day. You may also walk-in without calling to make an appointment. Walk-ins must check in by 8 AM to guarantee availability.

Restaurant Inspections
The Pike County Health Department inspects every restaurant and other eating establishment twice yearly. We check food storage, preparation, personnel, restrooms, water and other possible health conditions.

CDL Physicals
All commercial drivers of vehicles in interstate commerce with a maximum gross vehicle weight rating of over 10,000 pounds are required to obtain and maintain a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (ME Certificate).
The Pike County Health Department has a nurse practitioner on staff who is a certified medical examiner for the U.S. Department of Transportation. Call today to schedule an appointment for a CDL physical.
Medical Reserve Corps (MRC)
The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a nationwide network of community-based groups of volunteers who are interested in strengthening public health. MRC units supplement a community’s existing emergency medical response capabilities and public health infrastructure. As of May 2015, there are 996 MRC units in the United States and its territories with over 206,000 volunteers. MRC units are locally based teams of medial and non-medical volunteers who can assist their community during large scale emergencies, such as an infectious disease pandemic, a chemical spill or an act of terrorism. Volunteers can also work together to improve the overall health and well-being of their neighborhoods and communities through education and prevention. The Pike County MRC was established in December 2006. Our local MRC unit has been participating with several agencies and organizations over the years in both preparedness and community efforts.
